“Light, today in the age of ubiquitous digital screens (TV screen, tablet, mobile phone, city ligth) and video installations for the purpose of urban information but also pure playfulness, has far surpassed the ligh-show in former disco clubs. Today, light is part of an urban play of shadows, an interactive game with passers-by, a set of lights and music that does not rest, or light images are fixed in their geometric abstraction that accompanies or negates architecture. The light creations finally got their festival as well. There are three basic approaches to the topic in this exhibition
lights and ceramics: outdoor lighting that on ceramic or
the glass surface creates programmed reflections of colors and skies, and interior hidden lighting, which in airy and perforated ceramic shapes radiates a mysterious light, casting unusual shadows into the outdoor space. The third presence of light in this exhibition is not an exhibit per se but an ambient setting mixed with music or just sound, or the interactive shadows of visitors. Indoor light shows its warmth, intimacy and moves from
simple to strange, from (un) expected to theatrical. In the context of the possibility of cooperation between light and ceramics, this exhibition should be understood as a sketch of numerous possibilities of transfer to living (non-gallery) space. ” – Branka Hlevnjak from the foreword to the exhibition.

The exhibition will be on view until January 6, 2020, weekdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The gallery is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
